Avete deciso di imparare a fare trading sul forex e vi state chiedendo cosa fare per prima cosa. Un conto demo forex è un ottimo punto di partenza.

I diversi broker offrono piattaforme di trading diverse. Può trattarsi di Meta Trader 4 o 5. La piattaforma cTrader, eccellente per il trading automatico, o forse il trading diretto dalla popolare piattaforma di grafici TradingView.

Potete provare più piattaforme e decidere quale sia la più adatta a voi.

Che cos'è un conto demo?

Un conto demo forex è un conto dimostrativo.  Nella maggior parte dei casi, offre le stesse funzionalità di un conto live. La differenza principale è che non viene finanziato con "denaro reale".

L'importo iniziale comune per un conto demo è di 10.000 dollari o una valuta a scelta. Il trader può quindi utilizzare questi fondi per esercitarsi a piazzare operazioni e a utilizzare i diversi aspetti della piattaforma.

Potreste voler piazzare un'operazione al prezzo corrente, o "a mercato". Magari si vuole vendere un cross valutario a un livello più alto, inserendo un ordine “limit”.

Vantaggi e svantaggi di un conto demo Forex

Il trading con un conto demo Forex presenta molti vantaggi. Oltre a effettuare operazioni, è possibile provare un sistema di trading senza il timore di perdere denaro. Si tratta di un'opzione "prova prima di comprare". Perché rischiare fondi reali finché il sistema non si è dimostrato valido?

Il principale svantaggio del trading su un conto demo forex è che non vi offrirà lo stesso stato mentale che potreste avere quando fate trading con fondi reali. Le emozioni più associate sono quelle di "paura e avidità".

Esistono numerosi libri sulla psicologia del trading. Si tratta della capacità di non attaccarsi mentalmente a un'operazione. Una delle rovine di molti trader!
